DAMALAS: almost in the centre of the island, at Damalas, we will visit a traditional pottery workshop and the old restored and still operational olive mill.
HALKI: the tour goes on to Halki, where we pay a visit at the -over a century old- "kitron" distillery (since 1896).
PANAGIA DROSIANI: one of the oldest Orthodox churches in the Balkans, strikes the visitor with it's tiny size as well as the unique 8th century frescoes. Actually this is a complex of four churches under a central dome.
APIRANTHOS: the tour continues to Apiranthos, the "marble village". Visit with us the Archeological museum and the Folklore museum or just stroll through the alleys on your own for unique pictures!
APOLONAS: We visit the unfinished Kouros statue (6th century b.C.) and the cute village of Apollonas. We enjoy our swim, a cup of coffee and even an ice cream. On the way home, we follow the fascinating north-eastern coast with the Tower of Agia and the village of Engares.
Duration: 8 hours (F/D)
(The cost to the entrance of Demeter’s Temple in Sangri is €4 per person and it’s not included in the price).
